This armory was in operation from 1961 to 1991 when it closed down. It originally stored and repaired ammunition and weapons for the US military. Now the property is owned by the Town of Nesconset and it houses the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Library. It is reportedly haunted. Some claim to have seen soldiers walking in the property and then vanishing, and then there are others who report of cold spots and the sense that they are being watched.
