In January of 1997, a New York City firefighter was shot in the leg and chest, which led to his death on the school track. James Halverson was running around the fifth lane with his dog when he was approached by William Sodders who shot and killed him. While Halverson's killer and his accomplice were captured and convicted, it's believed that Halverson's spirit still lives on here. Many have reportedly seen a white, glowing object at the Northeast corner of the track and even an image of a man running, but then vanishing. Others who sit in the northwest corner of the bleachers claims to have felt someone watching them.
