This property dates back to the early 1930's and once stood as a one-screen movie theater with over 500 seats and a balcony. When it was purchased by United Artists, it became a discount second run movie house and it only cost about $2 to see a movie here!
It is believed that the place is haunted by its then projectionist who would travel between this location and the Northport one-screen theater. Apparently the projectionist was involved in a fatal car accident that occurred in Kings Park. Now there are reports that his spirit would fix broken projectors overnight.
