Moravian Cemetery is rumored to be haunted by numerous ghosts, with visitors reporting a variety of paranormal activity. Some have heard a phantom baby’s cry while others have seen apparitions, including that of a glowing little girl with long hair and a man in a suit who appears then quickly vanishes. The private Vanderbilt Tomb appears to be particularly active, with those who have taken pictures of it reporting strange phenomena. If you snap a photo with people in front of the large mausoleum it is said that either one person will be removed from the image or an extra one who was not physically there will appear. Rumor has it that rather than being buried members of the Vanderbilt family are propped up like statues inside, further fueling the creepiness of the tomb.
