Fordham University - Bronx NY Real Haunted Places

Fordham University has long been well known as a highly regarded institute of higher learning the Bronx, but in addition to its academic programs students have become familiar with the ghosts that haunt its campus. Dozens of ghosts have been seen at the school; some believe this is because it was built on the site of an old hospital. Keating Hall seems to be the most active building, and is thought to be built over old morgue tunnels. A security guard saw doors close on their own and a phantom force toss chairs against the wall in the basement. People have seen shadowy figures, experienced cold spots, and felt as though they were being watched on the first floor, where many historical items are stored. The auditorium has also been prone to cold spots, and students say they once saw a chair fall down the stairs by itself. An apparition has been spotted on the third floor, and some witnesses report being touched on the shoulder. Other sites on campus have also experience paranormal activity. The Martyr’s Court dormitory reportedly houses a young blonde girl who manifests in the shower, a male spirit who has been seen walking through the halls, and the mysterious sound of children laughing. Locked doors have swung open in Hughes Hall, where the apparition of a young boy has also appeared in students’ room in the middle of the night. The ghost of a worker who died during the construction of O’Hare Hall is said to walk the building to this today, banging on the walls from time to time. Collins Auditorium hosts the specter of a man who walks the balconies above the stage; cold spots have also been felt in the building. Students in Finlay Hall have woken up screaming, claiming that they felt hands clutching their throats. Lastly, the administration building often bears the phantom smell of cigar smoke wafting through the halls.
