During the 1700s Lover’s Lane in Boonville was part of a popular road used by French settlers on their way to Canada. Some settlers seem to have stuck around, as their ghosts can still be heard making a bit of noise at night. Locals say they have heard the sounds of wagon wheels creaking by.
