The Lakeview Station in West Hempstead is reported to be home to the ghost of an elderly man. His pale blue spirit has been seen walking and floating across the train tracks and in front of houses for brief periods of time before disappearing. Some residents have even reported seeing the man in their houses, much to the fright of their pets. Witnesses have also heard a disembodied voice whispering “come here” to them.
