Soons Orchards is 100 years old and going strong! Homegrown fruit and veggies, homemade pies and donuts, treats like our fudge and candy, plus a plethora of great food to make any eater happy.

You'll also find a wonderful fall afternoon outing with apple picking and pumpkin picking (mid-Sept.into Oct.), and hay wagon rides to our pumpkin patch. Warm up with some mulled hot cider during the winter months while ordering up a gourmet fruit basket or gift pack of apples for your out-of-town friends.

Wagon Rides:
Wagon rides leave from the area behind the main store. We run one wagon on slower days and two wagons on busier ones. As one wagon goes out, one is returning; depending on which field we go to, the whole trip is about 30 to 45 minutes.

Soons is conveniently located between Goshen and Middletown New York, in Orange County, about 65 miles northwest of NYC, 45 miles north of Paramus NJ, 35 miles west of West Point, or 25 miles north of Woodbury Commons Outlets in Monroe/Central Valley. From south/ southwest (lower Hudson Valley, Northern New Jersey and New York City): from the NYS Thruway (exit 16) or the Palisades Parkway/Rt. 6 (exit 18), take Route 17 (I86) west to exit 123 (Rt. 17M west toward Middletown); travel about 3 miles ahead; your third stop light is a four way intersection — look for the big Soons sign (and our U-Pick orchard trees on the hill) on your right — take a left at this light; Soons is 1.5 blocks ahead on your left. (To go to U-Pick first, take a right). From the northeast (Newburgh NY/CT) or southwest (PA/NJ): take Interstate 84 and exit at # 3E; follow Rt. 17M east for approximately 1 mile, bear right at the top of the hill at the antiques place in the big red barn, head down the hill to the traffic light- make this sharp right. (If you miss the bear right off 17M, just make the next right and go two blocks instead of one.) Soons is the next left ahead 200 feet - watch for our signs. From the northwest (Catskills, upstate NY): take Rt. 17 (I86) east/south to I-84 west (exit 121W). Then take exit 3E onto 17M; follow directions above (from northeast).
