Rolling Hills Asylum opened in 1827 as The Genesee County Poor House - where widows, orphans, mentally & physically disabled people, drunkard, paupers, even war veterans, any one who needed help, would reside together on a working farm. Come 1938 the property added the Genesee County Infirmary and in 1964 the property became the Genesee County Nursing home before closing in 1974. With nearly 200 history of mystery and mayhem, and over 1700 documented deaths, no wonder RHA is one of the MOST haunted Locations in the world.

We have a phenomena known as the "Screaming Lady" some people hear her = some people don't - she's very loud - but sounds very far away. People lay on our morgue table and are touched as if unseen mortician hands are checking for your pulse or attempting to give you CPR.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

I've been a long time believer in ghosts and a paranormal investigator - plus I wanted to save an historical property. Rolling Hills Asylum is the best of both worlds - an Historical Property - Authentically Haunted!
